About Laurient Toal, the blogger behind Carrie Meets Martha

Welcome to Carrie Meets Martha

Formerly known as To The Altar & After, Carrie Meets Martha is a fashion and lifestyle blog that embodies the spirt of frill loving domesticated divas everywhere! Serving up style inspiration, lifestyle tips, buzzworthy beauty items, recipes, and more; Carrie Meets Martha is basically just like a brunch date with your best friend. And as a brunch obsessed girl, that’s exactly what I wanted this blog to be. I’m passionate about inspiring women to live their best life and look and feel like a million bucks while doing it! The key to having it all is knowing that you already do and having a girlfriend (me) to share all her “Carrie Bradshaw meets Martha Stewart” secrets with you!

I’m Laurient and I’m the blogger behind Carrie Meets Martha. I started this blog back in 2014 as To The Altar & After. I intended for it to be my creative outlet for sharing my wedding planning and transition from single gal to OMG someone’s wife! Quickly, I realized my desire to share my love for fashion and all the lifestyle tips and tricks I picked up along the way. After a “quick little” rebrand in November of 2017, this blog transformed into the fabulous all encompassing lifestyle blog it is today!

I live in Central New Jersey with my husband, Mike, and our two fur-babies, Brody & Mia. I graduated LIM College with a degree in fashion merchandising, and currently work in field of marketing. In a nutshell, I’m a girl’s girl who’s all about a statement earring, faux fur jackets, sequin everything, and handbags I can fit my whole life in. I’m also a total foodie with a love for creating delicious dishes and trying new foods. I’m known for binge watching Bravo reality TV shows and celebrating the little things in life by popping champagne, because why not! oh and my life moto? Life is short, #treatyoself.

Hello… I was so excited when your Mom shared your blog with me. I loved reading about what you and Mike have been doing and getting a sneak peek into your beautiful, new home! Loving your living room and yes I feel like I could be in Palm Springs sitting there with a nice glass of Rosé. I am curious about Blue Apron and will now check it out. Wouldn’t you love to see Stephen on a chopping station? Hope to see you soon & congrats on such a creative blog.
