I want you all to know that as I’m writing this I have Mandy Moore’s song Crush stuck in my head. Hence why I’m calling this post color crush…
I think the general consensuses about mustard is that it’s great on a hot dog, but less appealing as sweater or bag. I’m here to tell you “don’t knock it, until you try it.”
A few months ago a I saw a blogger (can’t remember who) rocking a mustard colored knit. She had paired it with denim and some camel colored accessories and I thought it looked so chic. Obviously I immediately went on the hunt for the perfect mustard sweater and found this one for a steal at Old Navy. I was wearing a red lip when I tried it on and laughed that I looked like ketchup and mustard. But that’s when it hit me! It actually looked bomb together! So I stepped it out by adding a red shoe and leopard print bag.
Now that I’ve tried it, I’m totally obsessed with this color combo. I find myself gravitating towards it when I’m shopping or pulling things from my closet. Also, I feel like for every one person that thinks condiment colored fashion is weird there are about 20 more people who love it. And I relish in the thought that it’s not only delicious on a hot dog, but also in the world of fashion…get it relish…see what I did there! 🙂
