Oreo Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies

Santa is coming in less than a week! And Christmas Eve is his last chance to eat all the cookies before he starts Whole 30 in the new year…Oh wait, that’s me! Oops.

Anyway in the spirit of all things holiday, I wanted to share my favorite cookie recipe of all time! These Oreo Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies are perfect for any gathering or even just leaving a little plate for St. Nick. They are easy to make, so if you have little helpers handy they’ll be able to lend a hand. I think these are actually perfect to make with kids because there are no eggs in the dough, so kiddies can lick the spoon without risking getting sick. Or I mean you can do it…I’m not judging. Aesthetically, these cookies are very black and white, which I personally love. However, they can be easily spruced up for the holidays or birthdays by adding colored sprinkles to the dough.

The cream cheese makes these cookies super soft and cake like. The chocolate morsels are just the right bite of chocolate (I will never use regular sized chips again!). And Oreos are awesome on their own, but somehow taste even better in this cookie.  You will not be disappointed in these delicious treats. In fact you’ll wish Santa visited more, so you had an excuse to keep baking!

Oreo Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter room temperature
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 15 Oreos broken up
  • 1 cup chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Use a stand or hand mixer to beat together butter and cream cheese. Once combined and creamy, mix in sugar and vanilla extract.

  2. Little by little, add in all the flour and mix thoroughly until there are no large flour clumps. 

  3. Gently fold in Oreo bits, chocolate morsels, and white chocolate chips. 

  4. Cover cookie dough and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  5. Use a cookie scoop or roll dough into 1" balls. Gently push down the center of the balls, slightly flatten them. 

  6. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool fully cool on the baking sheet before removing them.
